Joalby is a young ambitious artist who brought several musicians together and produced an unusual album for the United Nations (UNHCR). The name of the album is Voyces United For UNHCR. On October 19th, at a special fashion show in Houston, TX the UNHCR album was highlighted and the music of Dyana Dafova used by the Amira Agency.
The event took place October 19th, 2006 at Club Crome.

Also here is a photo of Ashley Parker Angel (O-Town) with the 2 cd set. This was taken on the set of his debut video as a solo artist "Let U Go" in Los Angeles. I had a chance to speak with him and explain the album and such to him. I was an extra in the music video.

NEW GREAT NEWS REGARDING VOYCES UNITED FOR UNHCR
So how does the "Voyces United for UNHCR" album tie into Blues Legend BB KING'S last dvd recording in Memphis a few weeks ago. I will tell you.

I am very excited to inform you all of an unexpected event that took place October 29th in Memphis. Dyana Dafova is currently in the USA doing promotion among the Bulgarian communities.
October 29th, while in Memphis, TN after a day at Graceland and visiting the SUN Recording Studio she and manager/husband Mike Butterfield decided to visit BB King's club in Memphis. On October 29th, performing at the event was none other than BB King himself. This was all on the night they were recording his new and last concert dvd for release in 2007.
At the event, Dyana Dafova was asked for an interview by the show's producer in which she mentioned her reason for visiting the USA. In the interview she mentioned the recent release of the Voyces United for UNHCR album. Dyana Dafova was also asked to perform a song at the event. It was confirmed by the show producer that Dyana Dafova's performance and interview will be included in some form on BB King's dvd release in 2007.
I will forward photos from the event to you all as soon as they are forwarded by Mike and Dyana.

Dyana Dafova will be in Chicago, IL between the 16th and 19th of November meeting and interviewing with local cable news and radio stations and visiting with some of Chicago's 250,000 Bulgarian residents explaining the importance of the "Voyces United for UNHCR" album and asking everyone to go out and buy the album or order it online.

Between now and I believe mid December, Dyana Dafova will be between Houston and Chicago while in the USA continuing her promotion of Voyces United for UNHCR.

Here's the story. Dyana Dafova was in Chicago meeting with press, media and visiting with prominenent members of Chicago's Bulgarian community. It is on the front page of Euro Chicago (www.eurochicago.com)

I think I had mentioned one of the artist on the benefit cd Dyana Dafova was present at BB Kings Blues Club late October for what was the recording of BB KING'S final concert dvd. The dvd is set for release in Spring 2007 and will feature a surprise performance by Dyana Dafova.
I have attached the article from Eurochicago. Voyces United for UNHCR revenues go to the United Nations Refugee Campaign (www.myspace.com/usaforunhcr)

Dyana Dafova's performance and interview at BB Kings Blues Club has been guaranteed to appear on the dvd, which will include Dyana speaking of Voyces United for UNHCR, thus bringing the album to a whole new level of attention upon the dvd's release.

Other than that things have been moving forward on what will be my official debut album in late January 2007, followed by a possible place on a compilation for the Matthew Shepard Foundation, which is a lot lcoser to me now since a former colleague of mine was murdered in a hate crime earlier this year. All before I start work on the second album in the Voyces United for UNHCR series which will focus on a more rock/ harder/ alternative/ punk/ metal sound for a 2008 release.

My cd release party.. me performing "Alone" by Heart. That's all I can say, but it will definitely be a kick ass performance.
