(CNN) -- Midnight can't come soon enough for Harry Potter fans.
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the last of the famed seven-book series, goes on sale at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.
Fans in London -- many dressed as their favorite characters -- braved the rain and waited in long lines outside for their chance to find out whether the young wizard and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger will vanquishes the evil Lord Voldemort.
